Blue Zones Project Approved™
Worksites

Employers are in a powerful position to help us move more, eat better, and connect. About one-third of our waking hours are spent at work—and fewer jobs today require moderate physical activity, a percentage that has fallen from 50 percent in 1960 to 20 percent currently. The worksites listed below are investing in the health of their people and have earned the designation Blue Zones Project Approved™.

E Center WIC

Lakeport, CA, 95453

E Center WIC believes that good nutrition is the foundation to good health. We strive to provide families with the inspiration and skills they need to succeed at being healthy, active, and creating positive habits. WIC offers nutrition education and counseling, provides nutritious foods, and makes referrals to healthcare and other community resources as needed. “Throughout the process of becoming a Blue Zones Project Approved worksite, we have found opportunities to focus efforts inward to our staff,” says Kim Schott, RD/ Director. “We recognize in order to invest in others, we must invest in ourselves. By making small changes that can be used on a daily basis, we are noticing improved morale. We know this can only lead to improved service to our community.”
